The Cottage

Staffin is a spacious one-storey end-terrace cottage, close to the River Liddel, and to the main square of Newcastleton village.

The layout comprises an entrance porch leading into a spacious hallway. There is a large comfortable lounge with leather sofas and a 49-inch smart TV, and a kitchen/diner with all facilities including a fridge/freezer, electric oven and induction hob, microwave and dishwasher. The separate utility room comprises a washing machine and a hanging clothes airer. On the same level there are three bedrooms: a king-size master bedroom with en-suite shower, a double bedroom, and a twin bedroom. Additionally, there is a large family bathroom with shower over bath.

Patio doors lead from the kitchen to a patio and small gravelled garden, with table and chairs to seat six, and a rotary clothes drier. The garden is not enclosed so care is needed with small children! The garage, which may be used for safe storage of bicycles, is to the rear of the garden.

Miscellaneous

  • Central heating and electricity included, except bookings made during the period 1st November to 31st March (starting during that period) when a fuel supplement of £40 will be charged for weekly booking, and £30 for Short Breaks.
  • Travel cot & highchair provided (please bring your own cot bedding). A baby/child sleeping in a cot will be extra to the maximum number of guests allowed (6).
  • An initial supply of household necessities (such as toilet paper, washing tablets and dishwasher tablets) and cleaning products provided. 
  • Hairdryer provided. 
  • The cottage is on one level with no stairs.
  • A car is essential as public transport is limited.
  • No smoking & no pets.
